Confetti can celebrate an Easy Digital Downloads purchase on the order receipt, and it can also fire when a customer applies a discount code. Each gets its own effect, so a completed order can celebrate differently from a coupon.
Turn on the integration
- Go to Settings → Confetti and open the Integrations tab.
- Find Easy Digital Downloads in the list and click its toggle.
- Click the gear icon next to it to open its settings.
You’ll see three dropdowns, one for each moment EDD can celebrate. Each starts on None (Disabled), so pick an effect for the ones you want and leave the rest alone.

Click Save when you’re done.
Choose which discount codes celebrate
Under the dropdowns there’s a checkbox for Show confetti for every discount code by default. Turn it on to have every code celebrate, or leave it off and switch codes on one at a time.
An individual code can override that either way:
- Go to Downloads → Discount Codes and edit the code.
- At the bottom of the edit screen, find the confetti dropdown.
- Choose Enable confetti for this code or Disable confetti for this code. Leaving it on Use default setting follows the checkbox above.
That’s how you celebrate one launch code without every other discount firing too.
About the overlay message
If the effect you picked has an overlay message, it shows along with the confetti. The message comes from the effect rather than the code, so every code using that effect shows the same wording. To word it differently for one code, save a second effect with its own message and point that code at it.
When the receipt confetti fires
It runs on the order receipt once the purchase completes. Opening an older order from purchase history later won’t set it off again.
