How to enable address autocomplete on Easy Digital Downloads

Address Autocomplete Premium fills in the billing address on your Easy Digital Downloads checkout, and on the profile page where customers update their details.

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Settings > Address Autocomplete and open the Integrations tab.
2. Under Easy Digital Downloads, turn on EDD Checkout, EDD My Account, or both.
3. Click Save Changes.

When a customer picks an address, the plugin fills in the country, both address lines, city, state and zip code.

Your checkout needs to show the billing address fields for this to work. Whether Easy Digital Downloads shows them depends on your tax and payment gateway settings.

The state field

Easy Digital Downloads loads the list of states after the country changes, so the plugin waits a moment before filling in the state. That way the right state is picked once the list has loaded.

Changing the setup

The integration adds an EDD Checkout and an EDD My Account instance to the Instances tab. They work without any changes, and you can edit them if your checkout has been customized. Once you change one, Reset to defaults in its … menu puts it back.
