Restrict Address Autocomplete to Specific Countries

You can restrict autocomplete suggestions to specific countries so that only addresses from those countries appear in the results.

How to set a country restriction

Go to Settings > Address Autocomplete and select the instance you want to configure. In the “Restrict to specific countries” dropdown, select the countries you want to allow.

You can select up to 5 countries per instance. This is a limit imposed by the Google Places API.

If no countries are selected, suggestions will include addresses from all countries.

One-click integrations

Some one-click integrations automatically apply country restrictions based on your store settings:

  • WooCommerce — If your store is configured to sell to 5 or fewer countries, autocomplete is automatically restricted to those countries.
  • Paid Memberships Pro — If your PMPro configuration allows 5 or fewer countries, autocomplete is automatically restricted to those countries.

Dynamic country filtering

As of version 1.7.2, the plugin also supports dynamic country filtering. When a user selects a country from a dropdown on your form, the autocomplete suggestions automatically filter to that country in real time. This works in addition to any static country restriction you have set.
